Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya

Kizuki Ramen is easily one of the most highly recommended and popular ramen shops in Oregon and Washington. They boast their first come first serve limited stock Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen and a variety of other ramen bowls. Naturally, I had to check them out… A few times.

The first thing you notice upon arrival is the ambiance. It has a sophisticated and modern japanese feel with clean facilities. While some shops, like Ramen Ryoma, showcase a small business “hole-in-the-wall” feel, Kizuki displays the finer dining side of ramen and their price reflects it as well.

When you are seated you are offered complimentary tea and water. Now lets get into the meat of things shall we? I’ve tried a few of the ramen bowls offered on their menu and what I can say is this: solid. Their broth is mostly flavorful and rich, with numerous toppings included. Their noodles stand the test of time and maintained firmness throughout the meal. Their pork belly left a bit to be desired as I had to chew a bit more than I would like for Chashu. All in all, a great place to take a date!
